Ingredients:
- 5 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 yeast cake
- 2 tbsp. warm water
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 sticks margarine
Directions:
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Blend shortening.
- Dissolve yeast in warm water, let stand 5 minutes. Add milk and butter.
- Add yeast mixture to flour mixture. Mix well. Turn out on floured board.
- Roll to thickness desired, cut out biscuits, let stand.
- Dough can be refrigerated.
- Bake at 450 degrees.
