Ingredients:

• 2 cups of plain corn meal
• 1/4 cup of sugar
• 7 tbsp of minced onion
• 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk
• 1 tbsp of flour
• 1 tsp of baking soda
• 1 tsp of salt
• 1 egg, beaten

Directions:

1. Mix dry ingredients.
2. Add onions.
3. Stir egg and buttermilk together and add to mixture.
4. Mix and drop by spoonfuls into hot oil.
5. When done hush puppies will float to top.
